My Philosophy of Therapy and Change:As a therapist, I develop a partnership with my clients to work together toward achievement of individual goals and personal growth. Rather than taking a directive approach, I see each person as the experts on themselves who typically hold the solution to problems they are facing. During therapy, my role is to assist in the uncovering and refinement of these solutions so my clients can lead healthy and fulfilling lives free from the distress they have been experiencing prior to seeking professional help.
My Experience: I have worked in the helping professions since 2011, focusing largely on the treatment of substance use and co-occurring disorders. My experience includes treatment of adolescents and adults in various settings and across levels of care, such as Outpatient, IOP, PHP, Detox, and Residential. I received my Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology and Substance Abuse Counseling from Ramapo College of New Jersey, and my Master’s Degree in Clinical Mental Health with a concentration in Substance Abuse from The College of New Jersey.
Services Provided: Individual, Group, and Couples/Family Therapy
Ages I Work With: Adolescents (13 – 18) and Adults (18+)
Common Issues I Address: I specialize in the treatment of addiction and co-occurring mental health difficulties, as well as trauma recovery and relationship/family issues. I may also be of help if you have a loved one struggling with addiction and would like to learn how to provide appropriate support while also taking care of yourself.
